The volunteers on the first shift (9 am to 2:30 pm) start by getting the display ready from the prior night's shutdown:
Uncover the bees, and put the blue folded cover inside the table compartment.
Insure that the bees have water in the sponge for drinking, but be sure you don't put so much water in that you submerge the sponge (or the bees will drown).
If possible, remove dead bees from the watering container.
Remove various display items from the compartment, such as uncapping knife, hive tool, wax sample and smoker, and place them on table.
Place a very small stack of business cards from each club on the bee table.
Now, stand around and make yourself available to answer questions. Point out the queen as often as possible and have a good time.
The volunteers on the second shift close up the booth by undoing the above.
Cover bees using cover stored inside table.
